The 28th Rio Maior International Race Walking Grand Prix will be held on Saturday, April 6. This event integrates, once a again, a restricted group  of the IAAF World Challenge competitions.

The competition will happen in the main streets of the city of Rio Maior with some of the best athletes in the world, who make this competition being the most competitive and important Race Walking competition in Portugal.

The Rio Maior Athletics International Grand Prix results from a joint organization of the Rio Maior Sports Centre, the City Council and the Rio Maior Swimming Club, with the important support of the Santarém Athletics Association,  the Portuguese Athletics Federation and the IAAF.
