ATHLETES FROM RIO MAIOR WITH GREAT RESULTS IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
International race walkers from Rio Maior achieved excellent results World Championships in Athletics, held in Daegu, South Korea.
In 20 Kms race walking were women who blazed over. Susana Feitor, who participated in their 11th Championships, was 6.ºth while Inês Henriques was 10 th. In men, João Vieira was 16. ºth.
For these race walkers and Vera Santos and Sergio Vieira, the next major challenge are the Olympics of London 2012.
