GRADUATION IN BASIC LIFE SUPPORT

The Multipurpose Centre hosted on 17th Nov, a graduation in Basic Life Support.

The Portuguese Council on Resuscitation and our company have promoted two graduations for 31 people who made de enrollment.

Sudden death from cardiac causes is frequent and happens in unexpected places. The culture of medical emergency, namely in the basic life support is begun. There is a general perception that the emergency medical practices relate only to medical and paramedical, being ordinary people excluded from them. The chain of survival is not widespread public knowledge.

Aware of these facts, the Portuguese Council on Resuscitation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote best practices related to resuscitation and the development of social and civic awareness, enabling consolidate the chain of survival, is now launching this initiative, a challenge nationally to create a general feeling, a civic awareness around this issue.
