IN RIO MAIOR HAVE ALL CONDITIONS TO ACHIEVE THE HIGHEST YIELD

Vera Santos is classified for the London Olympics in 2012, where she will represent Portugal in the 20 km race walk competition.

Vera is actually one of the best Portuguese race walkers. She was born in Rio Maior where stills living and training in the Sports Centre. 

In Beijing Olympics 2008 she got a 9th place and in the following year, in the World Championships in Berlin, reached a brilliant 5th place. In 2010, in Barcelona, at the European Championships, won the 6th place. This are only some of the best results in is sports career.

In a interview with the Desmor website, she spoke about his second participation in the Olympics and the Rio Maior Sports Centre. 

Being in an Olympic competition "it´s a dream come true, working by four years to be in the Olympics and this year I got!” She started by telling us.  About the Rio Maior Sports Centre, Vera considered that in its  "preparation represents a very important role. Here in Rio Maior we have all conditions to achieve the highest yield: medical support, physiotherapy, among other services. “
