INVINCIBLE IN RIO MAIOR

On 9th September the Portugal National u21 Football Team achieved another victory in the Rio Maior Stadium with a score of 3 – 1 . This time the portuguese young players defeated the team of Azerbaijan in a game that closed the accounts in Group 8 qualifiers for the European, which will be held in the Czech Republic in 2015.

Portugal won the qualifying tournament with eight games and eight victories!

In the Stadium the National Team had the support of 2000 spectators, who attended a good match with great collective and individual details that deserved applause from the audience. The goals were scored by Rafa (13 minutes), Edgar Aye (83 minutes) and Ricardo Esgaio, penalty (91 minutes). Abdulla Abatsiyev scored for Azerbaijan at 56 minutes.

The scores of our U21 in the Rio Maior Stadium are very positives. In the past years the team already played 13 games with 11 victories and 2 draws.

The training camp for this game was held in the Rio Maior Sports Centre, where the team was lodged and made daily training sessions in the various pitches.
