MAYOR OF RIO MAIOR IN THE NATIONAL SPORTS COUNCIL

The Mayor of Rio Maior, Isaura Morais, who´s President of Rio Maior Sports Centre General Assembly, is now a member of the Portugal National Sports Council together with  the olympic champions Carlos Lopes and Rosa Mota, and Pedro Couceiro, Vasco Lynce, Manuel João Coelho da Silva, Fernando Seara, Ribeiro Cristóvão and João Fonseca Ribeiro.

To the Mayor of Rio Maior this is the second official designation, after this year have been chosen to the Executive Management Committee of High Performance Centres in  representation of the municipalities.  Isaura Morais is ready to a high role importance in the structures of the national sport. This nomination by the Government of Portugal, recognizes the excellent work that she has been developed in Rio Maior for national sports.

The Portugal National Sports Council meets five times a year and its plenary and first meeting with the new members held after the inauguration, in 17th December 2013.
