SWEDISH OLYMPIC ATHLETES PREPARING FOR BRAZIL

The Desmor – Rio Maior Sports Centre was chosen by the Swedish Olympic Team for pre camp on the road to the Olympics. Athletes from sports like cycling, boxing, handball, judo, taekwondo, weightlifting, wresteling and athletics made the last days of the preparation in Rio Maior before the flight  to Brazil.

All the delegation, including officials and directors, was housed in the Sports Centre for two weeks with all the best conditions that our services can offer to high performance sports.

Some of the athletes were successful having won medals, like Jenny Franson, with a bronze medal in wrestling and Emma Johansson, with a silver medal in cycling road.

The swimmer Sarah Sjostrom contributed with three of Sweden's  eleven  medals it has won so far. This swimmer wasn´t in Rio Maior this year, but in 2014 and 2015 made training camps in our Sports Centre.
